Vixen Drop-In!

Vixen drop-in hours are 11am-5pm, every Thursday at 128 Peel Street in North Melbourne. 

Drop-ins are your chance to chat with peer educators, get free safer sex supplies, safer injecting supplies, share skills, connect with other sex workers, and get info, support and referrals. 

Vixen Outreach 

Vixen peer educators can visit you at your place of work, your home or a cafe nearby. Peer educators can come to you for chats, info, skillsharing, referrals, support and free safer sex supplies! 

Currently, Vixen is running regular outreach trips to brothels, individual sex workers, and areas where street-based sex work occurs across metro-Melbourne. Get in touch to request an outreach visit!

Vixen CALD Projects

Vixen bilingual peer educators, Stacey and Bee, provide peer education and outreach to migrant sex workers and sex workers who speak English as a second language. Get in touch to find out more about community events, information, referrals, support and skill sharing in Korean, Thai and English.

Vixen Peer Education and Outreach Projects

The Vixen Peer Education and Outreach Projects provide peer education, drop-ins, skillshares, community events, support, advocacy, referrals, information and safer sex supplies to current and former sex workers in Victoria. At Vixen, we know how important it is for sex workers to connect with people who ‘get it’. That’s why all of our peer educators are current and former sex workers with lived experience in their specific project areas. The Vixen Peer Education and Outreach Projects include:

RED BOOK ONLINE

Red Book Online is a community driven project made by sex workers, for sex workers. For all your sex worker specific questions relating to STI and BBV prevention, testing and treatment, look no further than Red Book Online! With information in multiple languages, colour pictures of visible signs and symptoms, as well as skillshares and harm reduction strategies, Red Book Online is your one-stop-shop for sexual health.

Sex workers have always been leaders in safer sex and harm reduction practices. That’s why resources made by and for sex workers is best practice. The STI and BBV information provided in Red Book Online has been checked by medical professionals. All content has gone through rigorous consultation with sex workers to ensure the content in Red Book Online is accurate, relevant and reflects our diverse experiences, identities, contexts and needs.

VIXEN COUNSELLING

About Vixen’s Counsellor

 “Hello and welcome. My name is Blair Lauder (she/they), MSW, BPsych, Dip.Med. I’m a queer, white, Internal Family Systems Therapist, family violence social worker, meditation facilitator, and sex worker.

I have experience working with victim-survivors of family violence, people with chronic mental illness and complex trauma, LGBTQIA+ and sex worker communities. I engage in ongoing professional development and training, and have professional membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers and Meditation Association of Australia.

My psychotherapy and counselling practices are trauma-sensitive, person-centred, non-pathologising, informed by social justice principles, and are neurodivergent, LGBTQIA & sex worker affirming.” 

Vixen Counselling Service Expression of Interest Form

There is currently a 3-4 month waitlist, but you can select to receive a one-off telephone session if there’s a cancellation whilst on the waitlist.

*Please note the counselling service is only available on a Wednesday from 10am – 6pm.  A maximum of 8 sessions are available per person at a frequency of every 2 weeks. Appointments may take place via zoom or telephone upon request. the counselling service is limited to current sex workers (having worked in the last 12 months). Availability is limited.
